In charge of collective debt management procedures, an auxiliary delegate of the judge who declares bankruptcy. They are appointed by the judge and must be a local merchant. They have advisory functions regarding the judge himself, whom they must keep informed about the bankruptcy’s progress. They make decisions about the occupation and preservation of assets, preside over creditors’ meetings, examine the accounting, and inspect bankruptcy operations.
